Environmental education is a key factor in increasing urban community the awareness of sustainable waste management. This study analyzes effectiveness of visual education media in changing community behavior in RT 28 RW 07 Sawah Lebar Village, Bengkulu City. Main problems include low understanding of long-term impacts of waste, minimal effective environmental education media, and lack of environmental security reporting system. Applied methods include installation of waste decomposition period education signs, cleanliness campaign signs, implementation of mandatory reporting system for boarding house residents, and participatory socialization through mutual cooperation and joint exercise activities. Results show that visual media effectively increases community understanding about waste decomposition periods from various material types, encourages waste disposal behavior change, and improves environmental order. This program produces an environmental education model adaptive to dynamic and heterogeneous urban community characteristics.
