Deposits are a savings product that is well known among Indonesian people, including in Bengkulu Province. Even though deposits offer a high level of security, they are often considered less attractive because the interest tends to be lower compared to other investment instruments. This research aims to analyze the development of savings in Bengkulu Province in 2024, with a focus on the factors that influence public interest in savings products and their impact on the banking sector. Using qualitative and descriptive analysis methods, the results of this research show that despite a decline in interest in deposits, the banking sector in Bengkulu Province continues to rely on this product as one of the main sources of funds. This article also provides recommendations for increasing the attractiveness of deposits in Bengkulu Province.
